News and Updates

4th June 2006

Hello everyone, how's it going?  I'm sorry to say I've had a very sad few days and that's why I haven't updated the site.  On Tuesday 30th May one of my little doggies, Worf, had to be put to sleep due to a massive tumour found in his tummy during exploratory surgery.  This came as a terrible shock to my family and we all miss him a great deal.  We still have two of our other little fellas, but the house seems very strange without skinny, psycho Worf :-)  Here's the last picture I took of all three of the boys - Worf's the one in the middle :-)

23rd May 2006

Wow - what an amazing couple of days.  Yesterday I handed in the essay I'd spent all weekend working on.  It was my last ever essay for my course; I have finished my degree and I am no longer a student.  Wow...!  Pretty intense.  I then when out for my birthday and got absolutely hammered - it was great! I organised a bar crawl with a movie theme and we went all over the town :-) Right then, life I guess...

18th May 2006

Happy Birthday to me!!! :D Thanks to my family for my lovely presents!

9th May 2006

   3,000 visitors!!! Awesome!!!

8th May 2006

New layout! New contents! I spent all day working on this baby yesterday and she's looking pretty sharp don't you think? :-)

7th May 2006

Hey party people, what's up?  Everything's really getting going here at the moment - not long till graduation now!  Well, that's what we're hoping at any rate, we don't exactly know when the lecturer's strike will be over! Keeping the fingers crossed though :-)  Lost is back on driving me nuts though, so that combined with Doctor Who should keep me distracted.

I'm currently working on totally re-vamping the site for the third time in it's life; I'm changing the layout and the contents to reflect coming to the end of Uni and stepping out into the big wide world.  I've been really thinking about about what Pylia says about me as a person and I'm hoping to change it all for the better over the next couple of days.

Also in commemoration of the end of my glorious education I have finally got round to putting all my photos (and there are a LOT of them lol) into albums.  It's awesome, but slightly sad in a way - part of me feels like I've stepped back in time a couple of years and that's a strange feeling I can tell you :-)  It's cool, because this site is only a little older than those first couple of photos, and I feel like we (Pylia and I) have grown up together :-)  The visitor's counter reads 2,998.  I hope that by the time it ticks over to 3,000 there'll be a brand new look for you all to enjoy.  Thanks to all those who keep on supporting the site and hope you'll find the new stuff just as good.

18th April 2006

Hello all! Just a quick note - I've popped back to Uni to grab some stuff coz I'm off on holiday - yey! Mum got a last minute deal to Tunisia so we're off in the sunshine for a few days - nice or what! One of the thing I've picked up in my iRiver (shiny mp3 player) coz I've finally worked out how to use it! I suppose the fact the my mum also bought one and worked out how to use it by herself really spurred me on lol :-)

In other (slightly scary) news, I am now one of four directors of my own production company! AND we have already raised £1,500 in funds.  It's getting really serious now.  I've also officially been given the title of Production Manager on Gasman, so I have to organise all the people doing costume, make up, props, set and so on and so forth.  Yikes! Real world here we come!

Sadly, Hustle finished on TV last week, but the good news is Doctor Who is back! Life's good, life's really good :-)

4th April 2006

Well good lord - how much alcohol can one person reasonably consume before becoming a total and utter drunk?!?  Guess I'll find out soon enough :-)

23rd March 2006

Essay's all done! It was a slog I can tell you - but it didn't exactly help that I spent a good 3 or 4 hours talking about Gasman with Dan and then Ben when I should have been writing...oops :-) It was productive though! We're planning on making an actual, proper feature length film - so that should keep us busy for a while.  Oh it's soo exciting :-)

21st March 2006

Forgot to mention I got cast in the Second year play I very much wanted to be in (yes, I am aware that all I do is b*tch about how busy I am only to sign myself up for more stuff!) It's 4:48 Psychosis by Sarah Kane...I am the only person I know who gets psyched about a play all about suicide...nice :-) Oh, and also forgot to say that after the film (and theatre) festival we had an awards ceremony - I got the award for best actress in a play by a landslide and was only one vote off getting best actress in a film too! Yey me! The film I was in (The Gasman) got best cinematography and joint best film too, and my housemate Ben got best actor in a film - all in all not a bad day's work!

On a less than cheerful note I am struggling miserably trying to write an essay on Alternative Forms in Theatre (gah!) which is in for Friday (if it doesn't kill me first.)  On a serious note, two of my best friends have split up after over a year and a half together - really sad news - I'm taking it almost as badly as they are :-(

20th March 2006

Phew! Well - the film's all over - I can't quite believe it! I still have to do my evaluation, but the screenings went soo well - everyone loved it!  It was a very cool couple of days, everyone's films were so amazing it was a bit mind blowing lol - we're just so talented :-) I've had my last seminar and lecture, and I've only got a couple more essays and a presentation to do - I can't believe that at all.  I've just had a scroll down to some of the first entries on this site - from when I first started Uni - and it's so weird to think of everything that's happened in that time - its seems like a lifetime ago.  Strange...cool, but strange :-) I guess I'll have to really think about getting a job now - gah! Maybe I wont, maybe I'll catch up on some sleep for a week or two first...

10th March 2006

The play is over!!! And it was sooo good! I'm so happy! And of course am going to celebrate by getting a little merry :-) Oh - and I've finally sorted out the Artwork section so it's looking all spiffy :-)

5th March 2006

Wow...yeah...tech days! God knows what the performances are going to be like?! :-) I managed to write a 3,000 word essay in 5 hours before I went to work my 9 hour shift this weekend - shocking huh? I'll wait and see if it's any good - and my brother and I have got through a serious amount of Dark Angel recently (on the shiny new DVD collections he owns) so not so much with the sleeping lol! Seriously though, I'm so tired I can barely write...so I think I'll stop...

2nd March 2006

Tech days man - what a killer.  12 hours of stress personified - hours of waiting around, mixed in with a healthy does of cheep manual labour, eating non stop crap, repeating scenes over and over again, people yelling, people crying, things breaking, CDs skipping, gels melting, people being double booked and, well, you get the idea...and I have to do it all again on Sunday! I love it really though :-)

1st March 2006

I watched Catwoman today as part of my Contemporary Action Cinema module...it was actually pretty good? I know - I'm as shocked as you are...I've also been listening to a Dutch band called Within Temptation a lot the last week or so - they are so awesome! If you like Evanescence I'm sure you'll love them too :-) We had our year book photos done yesterday, which was kinda sad, but on a happier note my campaign to have everybody in the whole wide world watch Firefly is coming along nicely :-)

24th February 2006

Well - the film is complete! Might have to pop back and do some tweaking - but that's another story :-) I'm so, so pleased with it I can't even explain, but I'll still be close to tears when it comes to screening it - agh! Here's the poster for it - pretty cunning huh?!? Lol - I'm in a play at the moment, Sweet Bird of Youth, and it's going really well - fingers crossed! We'll be performing it on the 7th and 10th of March - so not long now :-) I've also auditioned for the Summer Shakespeare production of Much Ado About Nothing, I'll find out if I got a part in a couple of weeks :-)

My new great love in life has to be the utter Joss Whedon type genius that is Firefly and Serenity - I just can't get enough of it!!! You'll most likely be seeing it pop up around the site when the next few changes come around :-)

Speaking of changes, I want to re-do and re-jig a bunch of stuff around the place, as well as updating some of the areas (as mentioned in the last post).  I've already updated the front page, as you may well have seen :-) I'm really looking forward to it, but it still might take a while as I'm still pretty busy until the end of term in a few weeks time.

7th February 2006

Hello there! Happy new year! Guess what - my Third year film is nearly complete - so I intend to update the site a lot more frequently lol :-) Want to finish the Dream trilogy, as well as start drawing again, and possibly revamp some areas of the site too - so that's something to look forward to :D

22nd November 2005

New chapter of Dream A Little Dream For Me up - yey!  And 2,600 visitors...where are all these people coming from?!? Love U :-)

20th November 2005

HARRY POTTER HARRY POTTER HARRY POTTER!!!  Okay, out of my system now :-) Saw the very first showing of GoF at midnight - wicked, cant wait to see it again :-) I realised I didn't mention Harry in my massive update down below - shocking - well, I can safely say that Half-Blood Prince was totally worth the wait.  It's my second favourite (as I don't think anything will ever beat PoA for me :-) I've also started working on Fan Fiction Dream A Little Dream For Me again - which is nice - I've been neglecting it and people are getting angry!  Oops :-)

31st October 2005

Dudes!!! Hello again!  No - I haven't dropped off the face of the planet - I'm just too disorganised for words!  I'm back and there are allsorts of updates going on.  Firstly, the Artwork section is all revamped and there are even some new pictures :-)  I've changed the front page (as Im sure you've worked out by now) and redone the About Me page coz it was a bit out of date lol.  Chapter Three of Dream A Little Dream For Me is up, but I don't know how frequently I'm gonna be able to update the story sadly as I have so little time any more :-(  I've added a whole new Gallery page with lots of cool photographs of, well, my life basically! They're really good so check them out :-)  The Harry Potter Cover Collection has finally been updated to include all the new Half Blood Prince covers and so on and, though I'm leaving the section up, I probably wont be adding to Rock Challenge any more as it's no longer really part of my life :-(

Right - what else?  Well, cheerleading's been wicked - we did Nationals in the summer and did really well in cheer (3rd for Co-Ed and 5th for All Girl) but we came last in dance again - doh!  However, we did the dance routine again at Southern Classics yesterday and came 6th out of 9 and got a trophy and everything! So good all in all :-)

My course is totally awesome.  I got a 2:1 for my film and over all last year and I've started work on my film for next year.  Its a bit ambitious but hopefully I'll be able to pull it off lol :-)  My friends and I have been getting up to quite a bit (usually under the influence lol) and we went out for Hallowe'en on Friday dressed to the nines - I'll be posting pictures of that in the gallery shortly - we looked wicked! Oh - and I've also managed to get myself a particularly lovely boyfriend - yey me! :-) He loves Doctor Who and Harry Potter too lol so it's all good :-)

I've been to three concerts this year, having not been to any for years until Sarah last November.  My brother and I surprised my mum with tickets to see Kylie for her birthday in April (she was well chuffed!) I got to see Queen in May which was absolutely amazing and something I never though I'd be able to do in my lifetime, and last week I took my family to see the Backstreet Boys, which was equally amazing for totally different reasons lol :-) I'm looking forward to future events now - I just have to save up the cash *he he*

If you haven't been watching Lost on TV you should be because it's fantastic.  The characters are just amazing and I keep getting thrown by the plot every week.  Hex is back on too but I haven't been able to watch it so much - I'll have to catch up :-) There were so many great films out over the summer, but my favourite was definitely Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Tim Burton and Johnny Depp - you can't go wrong! I did see Star Wars and Batman the night they open though (but very good, but Batman was better lol) and Sin City was totally wicked.  My new favourite thing in the whole world though has got to be Serenity, the film following on from Joss Whedon's TV show Firefly.  It was just mind blowing and I can't wait to watch the show now, coz I missed it before - that's why I love DVDs :-)

Right - that's about all for now - Happy Hallowe'en! xxx

7th April 2005

Just a quicky :-) Got a bunch of photos back - they're really good! I'm hoping to start my proper Uni album soon - can't wait :-) Here's a couple of great ones we took of my family at one of our local restaurants - the waiters liked them so much we gave them a copy! *Hee* And for my cheerleaders (who must surely be getting frequent flyer miles by now :-) you can see the final design for the dance costumes here - hope you like it! Boys - I will get yours done ASAP - I know you must be wondering what lycra-clad treasures we have in store! :-) Don't worry, it's not that bad...

4th April 2005

Argh!!! We are the Bunnies and we are the BEST!!! Not only did the Co-Ed Squad win again at the Uni Comp yesterday, but the All Girl Squad beat SEVEN other teams to claim first place in their division too! I love my cheerleaders!!!  :-)  I've been working on our costumes for Nations still, most people said that the 4th design was their favourite, so there are some coloured versions here

24th March 2005

So many updates!!!  Revamped the front page again with some new pics and links.  Updated the timeline on Tales of the Slayers with all the new girls from the 4th book (which I have FINALLY finished! It was very good :-) I did a general tidy up too - so it should be easier to understand.  I'm working on some illustrations as well, so they should be up soon to flesh out the now rather bare looking time line :-)

Now I'm the uniform rep for the Bunnies, I've done some designs for the dance competition we're doing in the summer at Nationals (yey Nationals - can't wait!) but the dance itself is 80s themed - how cool is that! So it's legwarmers and bandanas ahoy! :-) You can see the initial designs here, if you're interested :-)

Now I've finished my 3rd year play (which went very well btw) I'm now in a 2nd year play.  It's called Catastrophe and it's by Beckett - it's very cool, and only like 5-10 minutes long, not like the 45 minute stint of the Butterfly Kiss! I play a director's assistant, and it's hard to describe, but basically it's a political play about society - very cool :-)

And (the best update I think!) Chapter Two of Dream A Little Dream For Me is finally finished! I beat my writer's block down with a stick and am very pleased with the result.  Please read and let me know what you think; I'm working very hard on the whole Dream Trilogy, and I really want to at least get this book out before the Half-Blood Prince is released in July!

   Oh - and I don't think I've mentioned this yet but - 1,800 visitors - yey!!!

8th March 2005

Quick update - I never get time any more! Anyway, Sunday was the Western Classics cheerleading competition and the Co-Ed Squad (my Squad) WON!!! I still cant believe it - we kicked arse!!! The All Girl Squad also came 5th - but they were rather unfairly up against advanced American teams, so technically out of the other intermediate squads they came 2nd - we were all still REALLY proud of them...they did this awesome thing with pom-poms where they like made a face that talked and a little man that danced - oh it was soo cool :-) We're both competing at the Uni Comp in April, which I just cant wait for - Uni Comp is the best! :-)

Ben, like my best friend in the whole wide world, has managed to get tickets to see...wait for it...QUEEN! Of course it's gonna be a different singer (the lead singer from Bad Company I'm told) but it's still Brian May and Rodger Taylor - in other words the closest I'm ever gonna get to seeing one of my favourite bands EVER!!! Oh, I'm so excited :-)

My 3rd Year play that I'm in (The Butterfly Kiss) is almost over - only one more performance on Thursday and then that's it...sob!  I've had such a good time doing it, I'm gonna be a bit lost without constantly going to rehearsals all the time.  Ah well, I'll just have to do more cheerleading...yikes!  Oh - I almost forgot - I'm the new Uniform Rep on the Bunnies Committee - yey!!!

23rd February 2005

New picture Witchblade in the Miscellaneous section - I reckon it's the best thing I've done in a very long time - so check it out!

Not long till the 3rd Year play I'm in is performed...a bit scary coz it's for someone's degree - the responsibility!  On the other hand my film is rocking, I can't wait to start shooting next term :-)

Western Classics cheerleading competition is next week - gulp! We're just not quite ready yet...I can smell the early morning practices looming before me...! But, hopefully, we'll pull it off, and show everyone what a spectacular routine we've got :-) I love competitions, but I'm not sure how much I love the 6:15 departure time from Reading...

11th February 2005

As was (politely) pointed out to me by my friend Adam, I haven't actually updated Pylia in over a month.  What can I say? I suck.  But - I am now here to rectify the situation! So - how y'all doing? I'm not so bad, working mostly on my second year film at the moment; a 6-8 minute adaptation of Sleeping Beauty which should be fun :-)

The cheerleading is going great - we now have so many members we have had to divide the squad into two teams; all-girl and co-ed (I'm on the co-ed squad).  Both teams are going to Western Classics in March, and most likely to the Uni competition in April, which should be great fun as my friend is on the Oxford Sirens and will also be there...yes, Oxford University has a cheerleading squad - isn't it fabulous?!? I'm really chuffed though because in our team there are a good 25 odd people, and I've been chosen as one of 6 girls to do the dance section in the second half of the routine whilst a bunch of stunts are going on - I feel so special!!!

I'm going with my brother to see The Killers in concert for my dad's birthday next weekend - actually cant wait - I love The Killers so much! My favourite songs are 'Somebody Told Me,' 'Mr Brightside' and 'Andy You're A Star'- if you haven't come a cross their album 'Hot Fuss' it's definitely worth listening to :-) Plus, they're from Las Vegas, which just gives them extra points for coolness :-)

I haven't really had any time to draw or write recently :-( But I am still working on several projects which I hope to continue, especially in the Easter holidays.  I am most definitely still writing my Harry Potter Dream Trilogy, and am very frustrated at my lack of recent progress seen as I have defeated my writer's block and not only have a plot for Dream A Little Dream For Me, but it's really, really good! I'm working on the second chapter, and as soon as it's done I'll post it here and on FanFiction.net - I might even get it on Fiction Alley this time :-)

The new Rock Challenge poster is up in 2005.  That's about all I have for this year so far, but it's worth a look anyway!

And finally...1,700 visitors!!! When the Hell did 200 visitors sneak on without me realising? I guess that's what happens when you neglect your site :-)

1st January 2005

New e-mail address!!!  If you want to contact me, now do so on firecracker2000@hotmail.co.uk as I wont be using the old one any more :-)

1st January 2005

   Happy New Year!!!

   1,500 visitors!!! Yey!

Hello again!  I'm back in Reading after going home for Christmas (which was lovely :-) I hope you all had a good one too :-) I got lots of lovely clothes and the like, as well as a very cool new art kit from my Secret Santa.  I also got lots of money (as always!) so I bought myself the Evanescence Live in Paris album, Tales of the Slayers Vol. 4 and the new Series of Unfortunate Events (Book the Eleventh).  I also saw the Lemony Snicket film, which was absolute genius - everyone must go watch it! The baby girls playing Sunny were just priceless, soo funny, and all the costumes and sets and everything were fabulous :-)

Went out for New Year's last night with the Film and Theatre lot; we had such a brilliant time, best new year ever I think :-) Paying for it now though...the room is still swimming quite violently...

My housemate Dan made this fantastic montage of us Drama lot, using pictures from both the Hallowe'en parties and his own birthday party, where everyone had to dress up as a computer game character.  The image is getting everywhere now - we're planning on using it to advertise our second year films in the summer term, and one of our friends had even got it put on a T-shirt (which he wore last night) saying he had some sort of scheme brewing behind it that we would all just have to wait and see about :-) I'm intrigued.

I'll take a moment to be very serious now.  As all of you must know by now, a terrible earthquake happened on Boxing Day in Asia, causing a massive tidal wave (tsunami) that has so far killed at least 120,000 people.  I have three friends who live in the region, and I am pleased to say that both Jess (Thailand) and Jia-Ling (Malaysia), as well as their families, are all fine.  However, I still have not heard back from Amirah, who lives with her family in Mauritius.  I am sure you will all join me in praying for their safety, and if you're like me, for the safety of everyone else in the region.  I can't help but feel quite helpless right now; a big part of me wants to jump on one of those Red Cross planes and go help, but I know that wont do much good really.  All I can do is have faith, and help in the best way I can.  I already give a monthly donation to the World Aid charity Concern, which brings relief to areas affected by this kind of disaster.  I poured all my change into the various collection buckets in the pubs last night, and this morning I followed the link on the msn homepage (http://www.msn.co.uk) and donated £30 to DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) which is 'an umbrella group of 12 UK aid organisations - including Action Aid, British Red Cross and Oxfam - working to provide clean water, food and shelter to thousands.'  Please, if you can, make a donation.  There are plenty of good charities that will take your money and put it to good use; every penny really does count.  Click here for a number of links that you can follow.

5th December 2004

New picture up in Sketches called 'Come Get Some', and then coloured in Miscellaneous - it's very good - check it out!

   1,400 visitors!!! Thank you!

2nd December 2004

Loads of new pictures up in the Tales of the Slayers section :-) Also, 'The Gift' has been added to the Buffyverse section of the Artwork.  I'm really proud of it so I hope you like it too.

I went to one of my best friends' 21st birthday party this weekend.  Colin had this theme going where you had to look up what songs have been number one on your birthday, pick one, then dress up as it! I went as Kylie's 'Put you hand on you heart' from 1989 - leg warmers and glitter galore! I'll post a picture as soon as I get them developed.  It was a great evening; much alcohol was consumed and crazy dancing done :-) And to top it all off, one of his other friends had paid for a night in a very swish hotel as a birthday present and Colin let me stay with him - for free! It was this beautiful yacht moored...somewhere in London, not too sure which part!

Hope you've all got your advent calendars sorted - mine's a Shrek one :-)

1st December 2004

   World Aids Day.

21st November 2004

So much news! Firstly, I bought an actual comic book for myself this week; I walked into Waterstones to buy a play on Tuesday and there it was, a Marvel Comics mini-series under the recommended reading list.  Well, I thought to myself, this is worth a look.  And by God was it - the book's called "1602" and it's based (funnily enough) in 1602 at the end of Queen Elizabeth I's reign, except there are still all the familiar Marvel characters.  It's a little hard to explain, but it's just so good, if you come across it you should definitely buy it :-)

Been watching a new TV show on Sky called Hex; it's a five part British fantasy drama and it's beyond brilliant really.  It's finished now, but if it's shown again - watch it! I'm actually in love with Thelma, she's so amazing, if you watch it only for her it'll be worth it!

New picture in the Miscellaneous section of the Artwork called "Welcome To Racoon City" - it's of the girl, Alice, from the Resident Evil films.  It's the first full blown picture I've drawn in a very long time, and it feels good to have finally done something with a background and everything :-)

And finally (saving the best till last!) Friday night was a night I have been waiting for since my Birthday all the way back in May...I SAW SARAH MCLACHLAN IN CONCERT!!! Oh my God, it was simply awe-inspiringly, spine-tinglingly incredible! We were at the Hammersmith Apollo, so it was a really intimate venue and I was really close to the stage! Her voice is even better live (and, y'know, it's pretty damn hot anyway) and she was just beautiful.  When she came on stage and opened with 'Fallen' from her new album I just started crying and didn't really stop until about four or five songs in! I'm such a girl.  'Possession' was undoubtedly the best, it was heart stoppingly good :-) And of course I was suckered in by the merchandise, and bought a long sleeved t-shirt as well as a poster.  I had such a great evening, and I my brother did too, even though he wasn't familiar with a lot of the songs.  I so want to see her again, but I'll just have to wait I guess :-)

13th November 2004

Wow - I've been cheerleading so much the week's just disappeared on me and it's the weekend again! Ah well; we did a talent show last night.  The new guys did so well considering they've only been stunting and stuff for a month or so.  The crowd cheered really loudly, which was a nice feeling, and it was cool to resurrect the old routine once more :-)

My two friends Jon and Ian finally performed their Studio Productions (little plays they put on themselves in four weeks).  I was so impressed with the high standard of the result - they were so professional - I was well proud of them both, and all the guys who acted and helped etc...:-)

I found all the photos my mum took from our holiday in Minorca this summer the last time I went home, and this one was so good I just had to put it up here to show everyone :-) On a side note - how bloody tall does my brother want to be?! I remember when I could pick him up and chuck him about, and not the other way around...

   Oh - and 1,300 visitors!!!

2nd November 2004

Argh! Why do I never update anymore?!? Sorry guys :-) Hallowe'en was amazing; we dressed up as characters from Star Wars (we being Ben, Dave, Dan and I) and won a special recognition prize at the party we went to for just being so damn cool! Here's a picture of us in our lounge before we went out - so wicked!

Went to Southern Classics with the cheerleaders to do our dance routine and didn't win anything again.  Crap.  We'll try something different next time :-) Also, the cast list for Grease was posted, and I didn't even get a chorus part, in fact, I didn't even get a call-back, so I'm not very impressed.

On the other hand, I finished my film and showed it to my tutor this morning and he absolutely loved it.  Considering this was my first time actually getting my hands on both the camera and the editing suite, I'm very proud of myself :-)

I've updated a whole load of stuff in the Artwork section; too many things to mention here.  I'd just go have a look and see what's been added/rearranged etc... :-)

25th October 2004

*Sigh* Another weekend whisked away from under my nose.  I did something funny to my neck...actually, it wasn't funny at all, it hurt like Hell and I could barely move it at all for all of Saturday, so had to spend the day in bed and couldn't go to my friend Lisa's housewarming :-( Rubbish.  It was much better yesterday though, and I went with my friend Ruth to see Shark Tale, which was bloody awesome, and then had dinner at pizza hut, which again was very cool.  So, all in all a mixed weekend :-)

I've really got into cooking recently, perhaps something to do with the treacle sponge incident :-) I made my mum's famous Penne Pasta with Vodka for when my friend Colin came to stay, and then Ben and I made spaghetti bolognaise, which was equally yummy.  Unfortunately,  the aftermath of washing up is still lingering in the kitchen...I'll have to do something about that before it grows legs and takes over the house :-)

I still don't know about Grease; they're posting the cast list tomorrow.  I honestly don't know how hopeful I am, I'll just have to wait and see.  I really want the part of Rizzo, but then, so do a lot of other people I guess :-) Ah well, as my mum says, 'there's no such thing as false hope, only hope.' It wouldn't hurt to wish me luck anyway though!

Oh - and I almost forgot! 1,200 visitors!!! Keep 'em comin'!

20th October 2004

Argh! I just finished shooting my very first solo film project! It's great! I'm gonna edit it tomorrow and I can't wait; I've got a really cool soundtrack and hopefully my tutor will be very impressed :-)

The audition for Grease went really well, I'm still waiting to hear if I have a call-back, I might hear tomorrow *fingers crossed*

*He he* Dave and I baked an actual cake the other night - there was treacle and custard powder everywhere! It tasted really nice though :-)

13th October 2004

Hi there! Remember me...the webmistress?!? Sorry for abandoning Pylia these days, life's hectic to say the least :-) We've started on our first solo practical projects for film - cripes! I've got a really cool idea for mine, I just hope I can get it from my brain onto the screen :-)

Oh my God, auditions for Grease are tonight - wish me luck! Oh no - don't wish me luck, tell me to break a leg or some other limb or appendage - ohh I've jinxed it now! Crap!

4th October 2004

Argh! First day of term - I'm a second year!?! Argh! *He he he* I'm looking forward to it really :-) The housewarming on Saturday was an absolute blast; everyone got rather inebriated and had a great time.  We're actually tempted to throw another party, but in a while; we have to tidy up the house first! (And fix one of the doors...but our landlord doesn't know that!)

I was extremely surprised the other day when I got a letter with a Mauritius stamp on it; intrigued I opened it, and it was from my best friend Amirah who had moved back out there when we'd finished out GCSEs 4 years ago.  I hadn't heard from her in so long, I assumed she'd just moved on, but in turned out she'd written to me loads, but her letters kept going AWOL.  I was so excited I text her on her mobile straight away.  I can't believe we're talking again! It just goes to show that you never truly forget the people that are important to you :-)

Oh, on a slightly more worrying note, the exhaust of my car fell off on Thursday.  Oh joy.

30th September 2004

Oh my God - Fresher's Week is upon us - argh!!! They're all crazy - I'm OLD!!! :-) *He he* The cheerleaders did the Fair yesterday and we got about a hundred and sixty people to sign up, so cool :-) Our first meeting's on Monday and I can't wait to meet all the new people :-)

Housewarming's on Saturday and I'm going stir crazy trying to get everything sorted - even with everyone back in the house it just feels like it's still never going to happen! Grr, I need to paint the garage to match the front door, but the weather is pointing and laughing at my pitiful attempts.

Oh - Dan's got the Star Wars trilogy thing on DVD, so I finally got to watch episode 4 again having not watched it in years :-) My favourite's Return of the Jedi though - can't wait to watch that one again :-)

Destiny's child have the most amazing new song out called Loose My Breath; I haven't seen the video yet, but every time it's on the radio I crank it up to the max :-)

23rd September 2004

I saw the most beautiful sunset on Tuesday night - it was all purple :-) Anyway, new picture in the Inspired by Song section.  I coloured the picture of "Bother" I did over a year ago - better late than never hey?!

Oh! I was asked very nicely by the people at www.hisdarkmaterials.org if they could use my picture I drew ages ago of Lyra.  Very flattered, I of course said yes, and offered to draw a more up to date piece which they accepted.  That makes three works I'm currently doing for other people...oh dear :-)

20th September 2004

Over the last couple of days I've watched Collateral, Confidence and Kelly's Heroes - they were all really great films :-) I'm also over half way through Season Two of Smallville...oh it's so good!

I'm currently (as in 10 O'clock on a Monday morning...urgh) catching up on a load of computer stuff.  I'm downloading about a dozen different tracks of music (including the new Robbie Williams and Girls Aloud tracks *Hee*) I'm also tracking down some of the plays I need to read for next tearm - I've read two on the list, but now I need the rest *sigh*

And why am I attached to my computer? I have to keep on the front door as it's wide open; I'm painting the front step.  Does the D.I.Y. never end?!

16th September 2004

Hurray! My mum's house is almost finished! It's looking soo lovely :-)

As a nice change, I've actually got a new poem up in the Writing section called "Frozen" - check it out and see what you think :-)

10th September 2004

He he - saw Hellboy the other day - soo good! I hope everyone's been watching X-Factor, the new Simon Cowel Pop Idol type thing, coz it's well good :-)

Decorating the lounge in my house at the moment - it's going to look minted! Ah, Ben and I are so talented...!

7th September 2004

First, the serious stuff.  I will, for the present, not be continuing with "Dream A Little Dream For Me", the sequel to my Harry Potter story "To Dwell On Dreams".  The reason for this is as follows.  At the end of the second chapter (which I am currently writing) Voldemort and the Death Eaters were going to storm the school, taking it by force and holding the students hostage in the dungeons.  Due to the tragic and deeply upsetting events in Russia over the past week, I feel it would be immoral and disrespectful to continue with a work of fiction that dramatises what was an horrific act of evil.  I will be continuing with the story, but I will have to think of an alternative subplot before I can go any further than what I have written already.  Thank you for being patient.

On a much happier note, I will be focusing more on my other Harry Potter work, "Past, Present and Future" as well as my Marvel Comics crossover piece "Youth Of The Nation".  There are also a whole load of new pictures in Tales Of The Slayers, and new D+D artwork in the Miscellaneous section.  Incidentally, I am thinking of creating a specific Dungeons and Dragons section to the site, but that wont be for a while yet :-)

I had a wonderful holiday in Minorca, and am looking forward to going back to work...NOT! "He he* Anyway, the decorating in both mine and my mum's houses is going really well; housewarming parties soon!

Oh oh oh - and how could I forget?!?  1,000 VISITORS!!! I love you guys!!!

20th August 2004

Guess what's new in the Writing section?  Go on.  Take a look...you know you want to...!

9th August 2004

Had a really nice evening yesterday coz a load of the guys from our course came over and coz we hadn't all been together for a while, we did the only sensible thing of getting drunk, playing  loud music and having a Chinese take-away :-)

It's been a quiet couple of days at work, so I've taken to nicking some on the free film posters we have lying about (I work in a cinema) and drawing on the back of them :-) Hence, we have a new Harry Potter picture (finally!) and another new addition to Marvel Comics - enjoy!

I have a confession to make.  I have downloaded not one, but...*takes a deep breath* twoentireBustedsongs...! I'm sorry! I couldn't help it - I like them! But only Thunderbirds and 3am, there have been no more - I promise! :-)

7th August 2004

Talk about motivation; the site gets fixed and I draw two pictures in one day! Well, I finished one and then drew another from scratch, but that's just being picky :-) There's "Gwendyl" in the Miscellaneous artwork section, and "Mall Rat" in the Marvel Comics section.  Hope you like!

6th August 2004

Fixed the What-I Wont-Say computer - hurray!!! Thank you dad!

Well - it's been so long I don't even know where to start - thank you so much to those who've contacted me concerned that I hadn't dropped off the face of the Earth or anything! I'm still here! Thank you also to all the new visitors - over 900 hits - soon it'll be a thousand and I'll scream really loudly! :-)

Right...okay, well I moved out of halls and am now in a fabulous house with the lovely Sophie, Ben and Dan having lots of student type fun.  The house it's self was just a tad neglected by the former residents (slight understatement!) so we're still working on sorting it out, but it's getting there :-)

Went to the national cheerleading championships in Nottingham and came third in our division - yay!!!

Seemed to have missed it from earlier entries, but we had our summer ball and it was so much fun I'm not even kidding :-) I took lots of pictures that will shortly go on my wall...I might even put some up here if you're lucky :-)

Oh, oh, oh! started playing Dungeons and Dragons with some of my course friends; I'm thinking of creating a new section dedicated to our game (when I get the time that is!) but in the meantime, there's a picture of my character, Helkn, in the Miscellaneous artwork section, and there'll be more to follow soon :-) The picture "Urban Elf" is also in Miscellaneous, and "My Immortal" is in the Inspired by Song section.  Hope you like them!

I've seen Spiderman 2 twice - it's just incredible, so much better than the first one it's unbelievable :-) Big Brother finishes tomorrow - Nadia or Dan to win!!! Get voting the Public of Britain! So many good new music tracks out...umm, lets think...Anastasia, Maroon 5, Shapeshifters, oh, there're all great! Casting is being announced for the fourth Harry Potter film, it's all very exciting :-)

I haven't had much spare time between working and sorting out the house, but rest assured I'm still writing, so keep your eyes open for some rather groovy new stuff coming this way shortly...!

28th June 2004

Oh my god - I don't even know where to start...!  Went to Chessington World Of Adventures on Thursday (yes - before the horrid, horrid Euro match between England and Portugal) with Sophie for my Birthday and it was amazing! As soon as I'm sober (*he he he*) I'll scan in the fabulous photos :-)

Speaking of Euro 2004 - France are out as well! And not only that - they got their arses kicked by Greece - at least we went down with a heluva fight :-) I want Czech Republic to win now - yey!

I move out of halls this week and into a proper house - how scary is that! But, but, but...(and here's the really great news)...I passed my first year with ABB!!! How incredible is that?!?  Hence the rather drunk state I'm now in and the VERY loud music pulsating from my room :-) Well done to everyone else who passed - you all totally deserved it :-)

800 visitors - you guys rock!!!

Okay - enough for now.  Just one last note to say a really big huge sorry to anyone expecting an e-mail from yours truly coz at the moment my system's playing up and I'm just waiting till we get broadband in the new house :-) Grovelling done - everyone have a fab week - I'm off to get wasted!

24th June 2004

Too harsh man.  England totally deserved a place in the Semis - but, denied.  All because of some bitter Swiss rep and dirty Portuguese players.  The nation was behind you boys - and as the song goes - things can only get better.  So bring on the World Cup and lets have it.

16th June 2004

The Rock Challenge section has had a major overhaul to include all the fabness that was 2004, as well as re-jigging previous years as well.  I still want to add more pictures etc..., but for now, go take a look and tell me what you think :-) If you don't know what Rock Challenge is - go look anyway and be educated!

I've re-arranged the Home Page, as well as adding fun-filled links to the pictures :-) What do you think?

13th June 2004

Oh my God - I've seen Harry Potter (and the Prisoner of Azkaban) twice now - and it's so awesome, I can't even describe, it's fantastic, it kicks arse!

New story, "Empowered Youth" up in TotS Fan Fiction and Writing - hope you like!

700 visitors - you guys rock!!!

2nd June 2004

It's okay - call off the search parties - I am still alive.  *Hee.*  Our First Year Production is almost at an end, so I've gone from between 10 and 15 hour days to, after tomorrow, a whole lotta nothing to do - yey! I finished Chapter Two of Past, Present and Future a while ago, but I've only just put it up - whadua think? :-) I know it was ages ago now - but thank you to everyone for the Birthday presents and messages - they were all fab! My favourite present though has to be tickets to see Sarah McLachlan in concert at the end of the year - I'm soon excited!!!

18th May 2004

   HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

16th May 2004

   Happy Birthday Patrick!!!

13th May 2004

Rock Challenge was amazing! Well done to all the schools - I was very impressed :-) I'll update Rocka 2004 ASAP.

11th May 2004

Hurrah! My e-mail's fixed! I drew a new Slayer picture in a lecture yesterday (and yes I was of course concentrating!) which can be found in a number of the usual places, i.e. the Buffyverse and the Tales of the Slayers Portfolios

Good Luck to to all the fab schools competing in Rock Challenge today and tomorrow! I'm watching tomorrow and I really can't wait :-)

Only one week till my Birthday...hint hint!!!

1st May 2004

New story! The Weight Of The World is up in the Fan Fiction section of Tales of the Slayers, as well as the regular Writing section - tell me what you think! And not just that - there's gonna be a TotS 4 coming out soon - how exited am I?!

To anyone waiting for an e-mail from me, my system's on the fritz, so I'll get back to you when I can :-)

It's my Birthday on the 18th May!!!  Any Gift Art or Fiction will be adored!!!

28th April 2004

   600 visitors!!! You Guys Rock!

27th April 2004

Well - I haven't written in here in like forever...oops! I've been very busy though :-) I've moved back to Uni for the Summer term - it's very exciting, we're putting on a whole play with the entire year group :-) On Thursday though, my family and I went to watch the school where I did my A-Level Music do their very first Rock Challenge entry - not only were they incredible but they won!!! I was soo excited :-)

I've added a few more things to Tales of the Slayers, mainly an ever expanding Fan Fiction section - so go check it out!

17th April 2004

Okay...I've gone a little Slayer crazy! I've effectively created a sister site, specifically dedicated to Tales of the Slayers :-) I've put a lot of work into it - so go check it out! I've still got some more stuff to put on it, i.e. the books and comics section, and I might add a Fan Fiction section too, but it's still jam packed!

15th April 2004

Hurrah! I've finally finished Chapter 1 of one of my Tales of the Slayers fics! "The Call To Duty" can be found in the newly rearranged Writing section :-)

13th April 2004

Hope everyone had a great Easter! Tru Calling (the lovely Eliza Dushku's new series) starts tonight - can't wait to watch that later (we had to tape it coz we had company) But we did, however, watch the new episode of Angel  - "Smile Time", 5.14 - oh my God, officially my favourite ep. of Angel EVER! Can't wait to watch that again! :-)

I've added even more to the Tales of the Slayers section, so it now includes Potential and Scythe Activated Slayers - hurray! I've also been working on my TotS FanFic "The Call To Duty", which might be finished some time this century...! :-)

5th April 2004

Well, cheerleading yesterday was looking like a disaster.  Our girls trying out for the national squad did really, really well, but then we came to the actual group competition and our captain dislocated her knee, so our stunts couldn't go up, and half the other stunts didn't make it coz of the commotion, and the signs were all out of time, and on and on! So when it came to the results we couldn't have been more shocked when we came fifth - out of nine teams! We beat four other teams! That's never happened before! I swear, we were more excited than any of the other teams that got higher than us, we were ecstatic :-) Plus, three of our girls made it on the national team, the only other squad to manage that was the team who came first :-)

I've re-vamped...ha ha ha...no seriously, I've redone the Tales of the Slayers section, with the help of Patrick and Amber.  I've added a whole host of girls I never even knew existed as well as three new pictures.  It'll take me a while to get round to doing the same to the chronology in the artwork section, but oh well!

3rd April 2004

Hurray! The piano exam is over! I think it went very well, but I have to wait and see from the results :-) Got the Uni Cheerleading competition tomorrow...hope I don't drop anyone!

30th March 2004

New picture! Slayer Sketches 3 can be found in the Buffyverse.  I've just watched the 100th episode of Angel...I've been crying my eyes out ever since. Saddest episode ever, I've not kidding, I'm so upset - I'm mean brilliant, but I was depressed enough at the news the damn show was ending (as well as Buffy itself ending the same year) I can't cope with...well, I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it. It was amazing, but I feel like my heart's been torn out.  Oh well, that's why God invented E.R and The West Wing I guess, coz, life goes on, right?  Okay, some emotional Evanescence music is in order I think...

In other, much more cheerful news, Living TV had Queer Eye marathon all this weekend - I'm not kidding, I must have watched about 8 new episodes - Heaven! Oh - and they're making a UK version - can't wait!  In other very exciting news, my wacom pad came today - woohoo! Now I'll be able to colour my artwork on the computer, and it'll look very funky indeed :-)

28th March 2004

500 visitors!!! Oh My God! You guys rock!

27th March 2004

Okay, so OH MY GOD! I know I haven't updated in almost a month...what's the world coming to? In my defence - I have been very, very busy, but now I'm back - woohoo! - and I'm gonna tell you all what's been going on, coz I know you wanna know :-)

Cabaret is all over and done with *sniff sniff* It was absolutely brilliant though, and I'm so glad I did it :-) Looking forward to the next one now (hopefully Youth Project again this Summer :-) I got my Second Year Critical option back - and I got my first choice...you guessed it - Musical Theatre - yey! I'm now at home for Easter for about 5 weeks (hurray!) working on my Grade 8 piano (which is only 6 days away now - crikey!) and my design concepts for the First Year production next term - lots of fun :-) I did two more little films last term ('Viridiana' and a Sound Montage) but my computer's being annoying and won't let me do screen captures like I did last time :-( I'm working on it though, and as soon as it's fixed I'll update the My Movies! section.  Speaking of updates, I've loaded the next chapters of Youth of the Nation and Lead Me Not Into Temptation in the Writing section - so get reading! :-) Oh, and one last thing - I've changed a couple of the pics on the front page - see if you can spot the new ones :-)

Right...where to next? Film and TV I'm thinking :-) First, the bad news - both Angel and Jake 2.0 have been cancelled?! What the HELL is going on there?! God, and you just know they're gonna be replaced by reality TV shows or some other such crap *fumes in the corner for a while* Right, onto the good news.  The third season complete DVD box set of the West Wing showed up yesterday, and I have not been seen since :-) And also (and this is possibly my favourite news of the day)...wait for it...there's gonna be a Pirates of the Caribbean 2!!! Orlando and Johnny rock my world! Hurray!!! Love Actually finally came onto DVD, and we bought it for Mother's Day - my mummy loved it :-) Oh - incidentally - I wrote the dreaded Ideology essay on Love Actually, and it actually ended up being not dreaded, but actually quite enjoyable...okay, so I used 'actually' way too many times on purpose there, but I'm English! I can't help it! Anyway, if you actually want to read it, you can actually find it here.  Okay, I'm done now.

Now - music.  I finally copied my brother's Muse album (Absolution) - how amazing is that?! What a compilation of musical genius! Where has this band been hiding all my life?! :-) Have you heard of a band called The Rasmus? If not, they've got this song out called "In The Shadows" - oh my God, I can't even begin to tell you how fantastic it is - go find it and listen to it now! Will Young continues to be the love of my life...unfortunately, he also continues to be as gay as a picnic basket in the words of Richard Curtis *sigh* Now that I'm home and have Broadband internet access again (oh how much do I love thee, let me count the ways) I've decided that my music collection on my computer is pretty poor compared to my friends Sophie and Ben - so I started by categorising all of what I had (as it was in one big lump) and then started downloading all my favourite tracks (including the amazing "Drive" by Incubus, to which I am currently listening.)  However, I also wanted some tracks that I have on CD, but also wanted on the computer - so I naturally started with my favourite band Evanescence.  When I typed the band's name in however, up appeared all these tracks I'd never heard of before - so I've basically got myself a surprise, brand new Evanescence album out of nowhere - how supremely cool is that?!

Right, I think I'm all typed out now :-) I'll write more soon - I bet you're glad to hear that hey?!

29th February 2004

Erm...Cabaret is only, well less than a week away now, and I'm getting a little scared!!! Looking forward to the wrap party though :-)

New picture in miscellaneous (one which I'm very proud of!) and I've finally updated "Rock Star", my comic book project - so check it out!

Went home this weekend and caught up with a load of TV (as well as getting a decent meal or two!) I watched the last few episodes of Angel, ER and the first three shows of Jake 2.0 - how cool is that show!!! I can't wait to see more :-)

26th February 2004

Check out the picture of us fab Bunnies! (That's my cheerleading squad if you didn't know :-) This was taken just before we performed at the Western Classics - yey us!

Oh My GOD! I saw Will Young's new video for Your Game yesterday - it absolutely incredible! It's like Moulin Rouge meets half the current shows on the West End - it's just fab! I also saw Jamie Cullum - I can't believe he's got a music video out - he did the same course as me at this very same Uni only a couple of years ago - all my lecturers talk very fondly about him all the time :-) Ahh, bless Jamie!

Oh - and new Movie Posters! section up - check it out!

24th February 2004

Oh My God!!! The Cabaret posters are everywhere - and I'm on them! Check it out!!!

23rd February 2004

Hurrah! Cheerleading yesterday was fab! There were three of us in the co-ed division, and we were always gonna come third coz the other two teams were so advanced, but we were still brilliant - we did the routine the best we've ever done it and all the stunts went up perfectly for the first time ever :-) All the other teams were really friendly, but it was scary just how good some of those five year olds were! All in all, it was great, and to top it off, I've found out they've made a sequel to Bring It On - yay! Look at me in my cheery happiness! We've got a University competition coming up on 3rd April, which should be great fun (plus we'll be more evenly matched with the other teams, so we just might win something!) and then we have nationals in the summer - scary! But it should be good fun :-)

Some of my friends have found themselves a new hobby of putting our faces onto famous film posters, and my brother suggested I post them here, so watch out for that sometime soon! My brother has also had a go at colouring one of my drawings as well - he doesn't normally do the whole art thing, so I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed when it showed up in my Inbox :-) 'Bother' can be found in Gift Art and Collaborations.

19th February 2004

400 HITS!!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!! :-)

Oh my God, I'm seriously about to keel over and die I'm so tired, but I'd better get back to my essay...*sigh* It's actually quite interesting, it's about early cinema :-) Did our filming yesterday for our re-make of a scene from an old Spanish film.   I'll put the screen shots up as soon as we've edited it together :-)

Thank you to all the cool people who've been signing my guestbook - from all over the world - I'm so impressed :-)

Oh, and of course - Happy Birthday daddy!!!

17th February 2004

Well...Valentine's day was...eventful, to say the least! Oh dear :-) Western Classics Cheerleading comp is on Sunday, and our choreographer has decided we are no way near ready, so now we are practicing every morning from 7:30 till 8:45 all week, as well as Saturday afternoon.  I still have Cabaret every evening, a 1,500 word essay to write about early cinema, and a film to shoot, in which I am also staring...OH GOD!!!  I HAVE NO LIFE!!! I swear I'm just gonna drop down dead Sunday evening, just in time to start it all over again :-)

10th February 2004

New chapter of Lead Me Not Into Temptation up in the writing section.  *Hee* I'm really enjoying the fluffiness :-) Cabaret is going great, only about three weeks to go, yikes!

Ugh...Valentine's Day on Saturday.  Hope everyone has more fun than I will! Yucky day, yuck...

2nd February 2004

New story! Lead Me Not Into Temptation can be found in the Fan Fiction section of the writing :-)

30th January 2004

Urgh! Sorry for not doing ANYTHING to the website in like two weeks, but I'm so busy it should be illegal :-) People seem to like the new layout - yey! More changes soon maybe :-) Cheerleading comp is coming up on the 22nd Feb...he he, our routine's soo good! Also bought the new Liberty X album - so great, even better than the first :-)

I've added a few things to the For Your Amusement section - hope they make you smile :-) Also, the picture of my brother and I from the Lord of the Rings Exhibition can be found here...isn't it great!

My biggest news though, undoubtedly, is that the girl playing the lead in Cabaret has dropped out...so now I'm playing Sally Bowles!!! Yey! Go me!!! Show's in about FIVE weeks though, so I've decided to give up sleeping to fit it all in :-) "Life is a Cabaret old chum..."

17th January 2004

New Home Page!!!  He he :-) I wanted something a little more complicated than the last one, but let me know if you hate it! I might add some more to it, not sure, but I can see the whole site's gonna keep changing every once in a while - just to keep you on your toes :-)

For my brother's birthday we went to the Lord of the Rings exhibition in London - how cool was that! The displays were amazing, but the best thing was a photo op with a twist; two people sat on 'one' bench - one became Hobbit size, the other human - so cool! Me and my brother got a couple of really great shots which I hope to put up here soon :-)

Hurrah! Angel has started again! The first episode was awesome, can't wait for the next one :-) We watched 'The Hulk' last night - I have to say I'm very impressed, a lot better than I thought it was going to be :-) Also watched DareDevil again...God I can't get enough of that film!

...I've just been looking through my old entries - and I've had nothing to say about Pop Idol - how can this be?!? I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT TROLLOP  MICHELLE WON!!! What a disgrace! *Fumes at the memory of it* Oh well, at least Will was fabbu on Wold Idol :-)

16th January 2004

   300 hits!!! You guys ROCK!!!

6th January 2004

Happy New Year! Hope you all had a good Christmas - you'll never believe what my parents cooked up for me and my brother...a surprise trip to New York City for New Year's and a ticket to see Chicago on Broadway! I almost DIED! Totally wicked :-) Anyways, we're back now, and there are a couple of updates...Let's see - new chapter of The Kid's Aren't Alright and a brand new Marvel Comics story, Youth Of The Nation, up in the Writing section.  Err, a new picture in the Buffyverse and Tales of the Slayers has been added to with all the new girls from the third book.  Oh - and the front page is my giggling mermaid for a while *he he!*

24th December 2003

I've finally got my baby back!...That's my computer to normal people :-) I had to leave it at Uni for a while, but now it's home with me :-) Right! Updates! Loads new in the Fan Fiction section of the Writing - in particular, the Author's Notes and Deleted Scenes of "To Dwell On Dreams", but also several new fics :-) Oh my God! Saw Return of the King on Saturday - just incredible, what an amazing story, can wait to see them all one after another :-)

So - Merry Christmas everyone! Hope Father Christmas gets you want you've asked for, me personally? I'm hoping for Orlando Bloom :-)

11th December 2003

Aww...my next door neighbour, Sophie, has given me two CDs for Christmas - The Calling's album Camino Palmero and her own compilation of Goo Goo Dolls songs :-) Yey!

10th December 2003

Two new sections have been added; Bookmarks and my Harry Potter Cover Collection - enjoy!

9th December 2003

Oh My God! Over 200 visitors! Thank you so much guys!

5th December 2003

Oh my God - I've made my first film!  We showed it to the class yesterday and they loved it, they were laughing their little heads off (in a good way - not because it was pants!) Anyway, because I am so excited, I've made a new section on the site...called My Movies! You'll be able to have a look at each one as it's finished, cool huh? :-) Ahh, I love University :-) Oh, oh - and it's the Christmas Ball tonight - can't wait!

3rd December 2003

New Christmas pic on the Home Page!

28th November 2003

Chapter Seven is now up...it's so freaky :-) I'm working on some other stuff now, including the author's notes for To Dwell On Dreams, so watch out!

22nd November 2003

Uh...okay...oh my GOD! I've finished "To Dwell On Dreams!" I haven't posted it yet, not until it's been proofed by the Powers-That-Be (i.e. my family!) but in a couple of days it'll be all over - complete with the author's notes :-) Wow, it's like this whole big part of my life has come to an end...I got a bit tearful when I wrote the last line, ah bless!

I saw the coolest thing on my neighbour's TV today.  We were nursing hangovers at gone midday, curled up under her duvet watching SM:TV live, and this cartoon called "All Grown Up" came on.  I couldn't believe my eyes - it was "Rugrats" ten years on - all the kids were in middle school! Oh it was amazing, I had to go on the net straight away and find pictures.  If you get a chance, watch it, coz I thought it was wicked, even better than the original (and that's saying something coz I used to adore "Rugrats!")

14th November 2003

Chapter Six is up of "To Dwell On Dreams!" Check it out! Me and my next door neighbour, Sophie, had a bit of a TV fest last night; we watched Eastenders (which I NEVER watch, but was a really good episode about a couple of characters I knew), Buffy (lots of Spike - yay!), some Fresh Prince of Bell Air, About a Boy (soo good!) and Shrek - a film both of us knew almost off by heart so spend the whole time reciting along! Ahh, I don't miss my TV so much now :-)

6th November 2003

Ohh my God! I got a part in Cabaret! I'm playing Texas, one of the Kit Kat girls - cool huh?!

5th November 2003

New picture in the Harry Potter section (also the Gift Art bit too) for Devonny Rose - hope she like's it!

4th November 2003

The poppies will be up on the home page, along with the beautiful 'Stretchers' painting, for one week to mark Remembrance Day on 11th November.  I know some of you might not be familiar with this day; it's an annual British tradition remembering those who died in war for our country so that we may live the privileged lives we do.  The poppy is specifically from the First World War (The Great War) as many of our Allied war dead were buried in France and the poppy seemed to thrive in these fields in abundance for some reason.  That's why us British folk will not be seen without a plastic and paper flower adorning our coats for the next seven days.  We will also be stopping for a two minutes silence on the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, as that was went the armistice was signed in 1918.  If anyone would like to join us, you will be more than welcome.

29th October 2003

Oh dear.  Another god damn heron attacked our pond and got Monet and Tigre :-( We've put industrial strength netting all over the place now though - there's no way another one's getting through - which is a good job because we've had TWO more herons come and visit since! Nasty things...we've still got around 17 fish though, and Hammerhead's still alive and kicking! Ah well.

On a happier note, I've done my first ever video exercise for my Film and Theatre course and it was soo cool :-) Also, I've auditioned for Cabaret - call-backs are announced this Friday, then the final casting next Wednesday - I can't wait to see how I got on - hopefully I'll get a call-back...PLEASE let me get a call-back! I've got both my Hallowe'en costumes sorted, I'm a Devil tonight, and a bad fairy on Friday - woohoo! Right, enough drivel from me, I'm writing a whole host of Fan Fiction at the moment, so I should be updating that very shortly, I hope anyway :-) I'm off to do some actual work!

21st October 2003

It's all gone a bit Tales of the Slayers mad here :-) I've updated the Timeline with a new picture and I've got a new part to my writing section (Guest Fan Fiction) with Gem's story about a slayer called Sophie, plus I'm hoping to get at least one of my own stories finished for some time next week, PLUS - the new book's out soon..   I think I need to lie down...

16th October 2003

Oh - oh!  New Tales of the Slayers book out in November!!! I can't wait! Will update the chronology asap, once I've finished reading it that is :-)

14th October 2003

New Harry Potter FanFiction! Go read it everybody!

11th October 2003

As I'm typing this England are playing their Euro qualifier against Turkey - all we need is a draw - come on boys!!! I've added a brand new part to the site; "The Tough Guide To Harry Potter" by Rugi and Gwena - go check it out! Oh - and how could I forget?! 100 hits today - woohoo!!!

5th October 2003

The new 2004 Rocka poster has arrived! Go check it out!

4th October 2003

Hurrah! Finally updated! I've been meaning to since I arrived at Uni but it's been so manic I haven't had the chance.  One new picture - "SCUBA Diving" in Miscellaneous - has been added.  I don't know how frequent the updates are going to be now coz I start lessons on Monday (Holy Crap!) but this section will be added to regularly and I will keep drawing and writing when I can.  So - just a quick update on the Unifront - my housemates are fab, my room is too cute and...I'm a cheerleader! ...

What's the world coming to? :-)

27th September 2003

Oh my God - only a couple more days and I'm off to Uni! Argh! I'm actually writing this on my very own brand new computer - how exciting! Well...if you're me anyway :-) Two new pictures and the next chapter of To Dwell On Dreams has been added - look at me on a roll! The picture of Tara is on the front page and the Sound of the Underground picture is in Inspired By Song - I started that one at Christmas so I'm very glad to have finished it!

17th September 2003

I've added two new pictures to the Gift Art and Collaborations section of the Artwork - the second of which can be currently seen on the front page; I wont keep it their long coz it's a colab., but I really love it and I wanted to show it off for a bit!!

9th September 2003

All this week the picture of Spike on the Home Page will be replaced by my 9/11 drawing to commemorate the second year anniversary.  I live the other side of the Atlantic to NYC - I can't lay any flowers at ground zero, so this is my way of showing respect for all those lost.  I will be lighting a candle on Thursday; I hope you will all join me.

7th September 2003

Woohoo! Finished Tales of the Slayers section - go check it out! Also, am in love with David Beckham, he is the Penalty king of the world!

1st September 2003

Hurrah! My darling Daddy has fixed my problem as you can tell :-) Wicked! Saw Dido's White Flag video today - it's very cool - but what makes it truly awesome is - guess who plays her ex?  David Boreanez!!! He's soo cool :-)

31st August 2003

Back from holiday, had a great time, did loads of the coasters (some at the front!) and did an obscene amount of shopping :-) Ohh - and saw Pirates of the Caribbean - too cool for words really - everyone should see it!!  Unfortunately it looks like the uploads STILL aren't working on the site, so I'm off to look at that now.  Done some more pictures and will be working on some more writing this week, so I'm anxious to get the dam machine working again :-) Oh - also reading "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee (who is a woman to my great surprise) and it is so excellent! Everyone should read it! Okay, off to yell and curse whilst listening to Michelle Branch and Girls Aloud :-)

14th August 2003

Oh My God - I got my results...I got the B in Music! I started crying there on the spot! My History however is still giving me Hell - I kept the C when I needed a B.  Disappointed, I made my way home and started ringing the University I was hoping to go to.  I didn't have the required grades, but I thought I'd check anyway to see if I had a place.  All four members of my family had four different phones on redial trying to get through for about twenty minutes.  My dad finally got a dialling tone and handed me over to the young man on the other end.  I waited for him to look me up on the database, and tell me I hadn't got in, just like last year.  I was all ready for the bad news when he said, quite cheerfully, 'Congratulations! I'm pleased to offer you a place here.'  I'm not kidding - I made him repeat that three times before bursting into tears and thanking him profusely - I tried to hang up my dad's mobile, couldn't work out how to do it so simply screamed the news to the rest of my family who had retreated far away - too anxious to listen.  They also burst into tears and then we called everyone we knew (after my dad hung up his phone of course!)  Hurrah! So I'm now drinking champagne and listening to Dido's new song, 'White Flag' really  loud!  *Hee* We're off to Florida on Saturday - I cant wait - it's gonna be such a fantastic holiday now :-)

10th August 2003

Fame's all finished and the last night was incredible! We got the best standing ovation in the Project's history according to those who know - I just thought it was mind-blowing; the entire auditorium on their feet for about 10 minutes - I soo cried!! Also, my song was the best performance of all the nights - I mean, it was perfect! Oh, God, I made so many friends, it was soo good! I can't wait to do it again next year, especially since there's a rumour going round that it might be Chicago - I love that musical - I want to be Velma!!! Okay, I'm calm again :-) On a more sombre note, I've got my results to look forwards to now...oh dear!

2nd August 2003

Wow - Fame is soo amazing! Finally got a day off today, we've done two performances - wicked! Only eight more to go...! I've been doing some pretty good work in my hours of spare time (trust me when I say hours!) so I'll get those pictures up when I can - which will probably be after my holiday, but oh well! Although - my new section hasn't uploaded - so there may be a problem...I'll look into it :-)

18th July 2003

Finished Grease - woohoo! Fames starts on Sun...oh dear...! Though - added a brand new section to the site - hope everyone likes!

17th July 2003

Been doing Grease in a Week at the school where I did my A-Level music.  It's so much fun! :-) Unusually, I've been doing mainly backstage work, as in co-running the hair and make-up dept - I'm loving it! I've also been roped into doing some flute stuff, but not too much - phew! Hoping to take some pics tomorow, if so I'll post them to show of my fab face-painting talents! :-) I finally got my Fame script on Tues and have been learning lines to start rehearsing on Sunday.  My friend has warned me though; when we're not in the theatre, we're sure as Hell going to be drinking! :-)

12th July 2003

Oh my life rocks!!! Not only have I finished this God-forsaken web site (woohoo!) but Jon has become the very first person to be voted back into the Big Brother House!!! My whole summer has meaning to it once more!!! Plus I've written some more of 'To Dwell On Dreams', the first time since OotP came out, and have finally started on one of my four planned Tales of the Slayers :-) 'The Call To Duty' will be posted in the Fan-Fiction section as soon as it's done.  Yay!

11th July 2003

Saw Charlie's Angels yesterday - total load of well wicked rubbish! Plot was...interesting, but it was so cool I didn't care.  Very funny and multiple film take offs (Terminator and Spiderman were my faves!) Everyone should see it just for a laugh :-) Had loads of trailers before hand (Lara Croft rocks my world) but nothing for Timeline or League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, grr argg! I cant wait to see those movies :-) The site is almost finished *bows for round of applause*, only Gift Art and a couple of nitty bits to add now :-) I'm so excited!

7th July 2003

OKay, so I promised myself I would finish this site before I did any more drawing or writing, but naturally I ignored myself, coz I'm always talking rubbish anyway :-) So, another new picture has been added to the Buffyverse, as well as a load of other updates including a guestbook (ooh, excitement!) Go sign it!

30th June 2003

Saw Matrix Reloaded again at the weekend - so cool :-) Did my first real bit of drawing since the end of my exams - I felt a lot better after :-) The picture of Angelus can be found in "The Buffyverse" section.  Upping the anti on my exercise regime in an attempt to get fit for Fame...oh dear God!

27th June 2003

I've been wanting the new X-Men poster to put on my door ever since I saw it (coz I've taken down the old Backstreet one, ahh, bless!) Well, they were always selling out instantly at Virgin and the likes, so I tracked it down on the net - only to find it cost $40.  Well, I wasn't paying that.  So you can imagine my surprise when a tube-shaped parcel turned up this morning - my dad had only gone and bought it for me to show how pleased he was with all the work I'd done for my exams! I squealed! I've already put it on my door and it's bloody gorgeous :-)

26th June 2003

Wow.  Okay, end of Season Finale of Angel (Season 4)...well.  What a brilliant episode.  I did not see that coming - ohh it's faboo! I cried though - for Angel, bless him.  Anyway, cant wait for Season 5 (with Spike!!) *Hee* Was my parents 21st wedding anniversary and me and mum went into town to get my dad some things.  I was so excited to be around people again it was scary :-) Anyway, we went into WHSmiths for some tip-ex and we ended up buying The Animatrix (!) and a whole load of other bits.  The best bit was though, they still had the displays up everywhere for the release of The Chamber of Secrets DVD and Video and they had all these banners hanging up all over the place.  When we got to the checkout I cheekily pleaded to be allowed to steal a poster of Draco - and d'ya know what? The lady behind the counter actually gave it to me - for free! So cool, I've stuck it up on my wall :-)

25th June 2003

Well, okay I lied, the Artwork section is taking oh so much longer than I first thought it would :-) I did my bio section well quickly, plus added pictures :-) Had a Buffy fest last night where my parents kept yelling - "lets watch the one where..." then giving a woolly description of episodes from the first three seasons and getting me and and my brother to guess...*hee* what fun.  In the end we watched "Halloween", "The Puppet Master" and "Anne".  It was great :-) Someone told my brother the end of OotP - he says he doesn't mind but I was fuming.  Oh well, I'm starting to come to terms  with the death...I'm thinking of writing some sort of fanfic, an afterlife kinda thing, even thinking about it is easing my poor tormented mind :-)

23rd June 2003

Well, it's only taken a million years, but here it is! The first bash at my web site.  It's not complete yet, more of a work in progress :-) The artwork sections are pretty much up to date as is the writing section, but Rock Challenge is going to take some work as well as the bio (I HATE talking about myself!) Anyway, you'll know what's not finished yet, coz you'll click on something and it'll tell you :-) So - what's been happening in my life lately? Well, finished the curse that were my A-Levels, just got to wait for the results now *fingers crossed!* Jon got voted out of the Big Brother house; what is wrong with the people of Britain?! Buffy ended - leaving a great vacuous hole whining to be filled by something...anything! It has become my mission in life though to track down Joss Whedon and shake his hand, so I guess that's something :-) Only one more episode of Angel left, and Spike will be joining the line-up next season - hurrah! The Order of the Phoenix came out.  I finished it last night.  I have been sobbing all day.  JK is cruel :-( But we still love her! My HP fan fiction "To Dwell on Dreams" is in it's 5th chapter, the first four are already up here and the first two are at FictionAlley (see Links page).  I'm working on a shot from the opening chapter of OotP to put up in the Home Page, as well as a load of other works from the new book, so that's why it looks bare.  Back in the real world (yes, the boring place) one of my utmost bestest friend returned from a year in the land of Oz - I jumped on him when he showed up at my door...good job he's so much taller than me otherwise I might have squished him :-) I've got Fame coming up in a couple of weeks...why, WHY did I ever think I could sing/dance/act?! I hope I'm okay *smiles weekly*

Well, that's enough of me for now, hope you like the site!  Let me know what you think!
